Donations to the Lee County Humane Society directly benefit the animals at the shelter. The LCHS is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing awareness to pet overpopulation and making a difference in the lives of the animals in Lee County. There are a number of ways to support the shelter and make donations.
Ways to Give
General Donations
Donations to the general operating fund support the daily operations of the facility.
Fund-raising Events
The LCHS holds annual fund-raisers throughout the year. These include Mutt Strut, Woofstock, Walk for the Animals, and No More Wasted Lives. The shelter receives financial support from the sponsors of these events and donations given by attendees. If you are interested in sponsoring a fund-raising event contact LCHS Director of Public Relations & Developement, Stacee Strength.
Memorials
The loss of a loved one or pet can be memorialized with a gift to the LCHS. A card acknowledging this donation will be mailed to the recipient.
Spay/Neuter Fund
The LCHS plans to build an on-site spay/neuter facility. This facility would ensure that 100% of animals are spayed or neutered before adoption at the shelter. The LCHS has a special fund set aside to benefit these efforts.
