Compass Bank Supports Spay/Neuter Facility

     Haven Duff (left) and Robert McDaniel (middle) of Compass Bank presented LCHS Executive Director Heather Meadows (right) with a $3,000 donation for the Spay/Neuter Facility on Thursday.  Compass Bank supports to shelter's goal to construct an on-site Spay/Neuter Facility for the shelter. 
     "We appreciate the work the humane society does for our community and wanted to show our support," McDaniel said.  Compass Bank's donation puts the shelter at just under $160,000 towards the goal of $200,000 needed to begin construction on the Spay/Neuter Facility. 
     Compass Bank also signed on as the title sponsor for the first-ever Play Fore Pets golf tournament fund-raiser which will be held Friday, March 6 at Auburn Links Golf Course. The Lee County Humane Society thanks Compass Bank for their generosity and support.

Pet Friendly Alabama License Plate

Help save lives and show your support for the battle against pet overpopulation.

From November 1, 2007 - October 31, 2008, you can go by your local county car license tag office and pay a $50 "commitment of purchase" deposit. During this yearlong campaign, at least 1,000 people in the state of Alabama must commit to purchasing the tag in order for the state to manufacture them.

$41.25 of the tag fee will go into a fund to offer low cost spay or neuter surgeries to low-income households.
