LCHS Executive Director Job AnnouncementThe Lee County Humane Society (LCHS) seeks a motivated, organized, compassionate individual to serve as Executive Director (ED) for the open admission facility in Auburn, AL. The ED coordinates and oversees all employees, departments, and activities of the LCHS including but not limited to daily operations, fundraising, educational programs, budget development, and fiscal management, and serves as the shelter's chief media spokesperson and official representative to governmental agencies, organizations and donors. Required qualifications include a minimum of three years managerial experience; demonstrated expertise with business management practices; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a minimum of two years higher education; and a commitment to animal care/welfare. Preferred qualifications include experience with animal shelter operations, fundraising, strategic planning; knowledge of and/or experience with certified euthanasia technician policies and procedures; and a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
